Biography

Skilled in risk management, stakeholder engagement and strategy implementation, Kyla Fisher has spent two decades helping mid-sized companies and industry associations integrate sustainability into their business model. Kyla spent seven years in the petroleum sector where she led the stakeholder and sustainability efforts of the first company to develop coalbed methane and shale gases in Canada. More recently, Kyla has worked in the packaging sector, helping develop corporate models for sustainability as well as drive collaborative cross-sector efforts to advance national policy for sustainable packaging, recycling and waste management.

In addition to teaching strategy for Arizona State University’s online Masters of Sustainability, Kyla currently consults for a variety of packaging associations and companies regarding waste management legislation, sustainable packaging design and corporate sustainability strategy. Kyla has a Masters in International Relations from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and a BA (Hons) from Dalhousie University (Halifax, NS Canada).
