Biography
Mark Lussier is Emeritus Professor of English and a Senior Sustainability Fellow in the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability at Arizona State University. His published works include Perspective as a Problem in the Art, History and Literature of Early Modern England (1994), Romantic Dynamics: The Poetics of Physicality (1999), Romanticism and Buddhism (2006), Engaged Romanticism: Romanticism as Praxis (2008), and Romantic Dharma: The Emergence of Buddhism into Nineteenth-Century Europe (2011). His essays have appeared in numerous collections and journals, including Arts Quarterly, Blake: An Illustrated Quarterly, Ecological Theory, Literature and Religion, Nineteenth-Century Contexts, William Blake Studies, Studies in Romanticism, Visible Language, and The Wordsworth Circle. During his tenure at ASU, he has won numerous teaching awards, including special recognition from the ASU Parents Professor of the Year program (2007) and receipt of the Distinguished Teaching Faculty Award from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (2006).
