Biography

Molly Cashion began working for the Sustainability Teachers’ Academies as a Sustainable Schools Fellow in 2015 and transitioned to Program Manager for the Regional Sustainability Teachers’ Academy in 2016. The Regional Academy develops workshops and professional development experiences for K-12 teachers focused on the emerging field of sustainability science. Utilizing her skills in sustainability education, project management, facilitation and relationship building, Molly has taken the Regional Sustainability Teachers’ Academy beyond traditional adult continuing education by focusing on sustainability project implementation. Part of the development process includes working with sustainability scientists and scholars and building relationships with local sustainability leaders in key regions throughout the US to make each workshop both scientifically accurate and relevant to each community. Since joining the Teachers’ Academy team, Molly has developed more than 30 workshops, worked with more than 50 sustainability stakeholders around the country, and trained over 1200 teachers.
