Biography
Stacey Freeman was the Program Manager for Sustainability in Science Museums at Arizona State University (ASU). She was responsible for developing a global network of science and natural history museums to implement sustainability-related programming within their institutions. With more than a decade of experience in university outreach programs, Stacey is an expert at developing community relationships with a focus on science communication. Prior to her Program Manager position, Stacey managed education, outreach and diversity programs at two National Science Foundation research centers in Kansas and California. In a previous position at ASU, she directed an undergraduate certification program in Nonprofit Leadership and Management. Stacey holds a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Evaluation from the Mary Lou Fulton Teacher’s College at ASU. Her research interests include STEM education, and educational access and equity for underrepresented groups.
