The Clark Park Community Garden is a collaborative effort of the Clark Park and Marilyn Ann Neighborhood Associations, and Tempe Community Action Agency. The garden was created in 2014 at the site of a former municipal pool. Volunteers will be emptying out old tires and cleaning up the kids area of the garden in preparation of a project that is taking place in March.
Helping the United Food Bank helps our community. Volunteers may have a variety of tasks including inspecting food for quality, checking dates, sorting mixed non-perishable food into multiple categories, weighing, tagging and preparing packages for shipment to our main warehouse.
Grounds for Grounds program captures used coffee grounds from campus dining halls and the BioDesign building to fertilize Campus Harvest trees. We will be rolling the used coffee grounds bins from the back dock of the Memorial Union to Campus Harvest trees and working the grounds into the soil.
