Biography

Alexis Cooley grew up in Oregon and graduated from Barnard College. After, she worked as a consultant in DC for a number of federal agencies including the Environmental Protection Agency and the US Department of Agriculture. At the EPA she focused on Superfund and led a team of developers on a Superfund asset management system. She completed an MS in Geography at Portland State focusing on precipitation and climate. She collaborated on an international research network focused on urban sustainability and resilience. Currently, she works for City of Hillsboro in the Water Engineering department. She is passionate about politics, justice and land use planning. She is excited to be joining NLC.
