Biography

Allison is native of Buffalo, New York and a 2nd year Geography student in UB’s Department of Geographic Information Systems. She earned a dual Bachelor’s degree in Earth Systems Science and International Business and Trade from the University at Buffalo in 2016.

As a Research Assistant in the Community Resilience Lab, she conducts thermal vulnerability analyses for the Scenarios Working Group of the Urban Resilience to Extremes Sustainability Research Network. Allison is also a Research Associate within the Landscape-based Environmental Systems Analysis & Modeling Lab developing watershed analyses related to soil erosion and eutrophication in the Cattaraugus Creek Watershed. Her primary interest is using landscape modeling to leverage environmental processes in decision-making of sustainable climate change adaptation strategies. Her time as a Vice Chairwoman of the non-profit organization Designing to Live Sustainably has solidified her desire to propel Buffalo, NY towards thriving in the face of climate change. Her primary passion and career goal is the growth of this organization into a climate action and adaptation leader within the Western New York Region.
