Free Film Screening:
Plastic Paradise: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch

Midway Atoll is in one of the most remote places on earth, and yet, it has become ground zero for The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, siphoning plastics from three distant continents. Please join us for a free film screening of Plastic Paradise, a film that follows journalist/ filmmaker Angela Sun as she seeks to uncover the cause of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

Dawn Ratcliffe, Recycling Coordinator for the City of Tempe, will host a post-film discussion.

Free parking is available at the Brickyard Parking Garage. Bring your ticket and the theater will validate at the concessions stand.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their eWaste to this event. Any electronic item that has a cord or takes batteries can be recycled.
