Comedy, Economics, and Climate Change
Yoram Bauman
- Environmental Economist, Stand-Up Comedian
Back by popular demand, Bauman, the “world’s first and only stand-up economist,” returns to ASU to offer a funny overview of climate science, predictions, and policy based on the latest IPCC report.
Bauman holds a PhD in economics and has become an ardent voice on the environmental economics front and specifically on carbon taxes and cap and trade. He has appeared in TIME Magazine and on PBS and NPR, and is the co-author of the two-volume Cartoon Introduction to Economics. He is a carbon tax Fellow at Sightline Institute, where he co-authored Tax Shift with Alan Durning.
