Biography
Hailey Dougherty is a climate change, agriculture, and environment specialist with cross-cutting expertise in research, collaborative solutions development, and proposal design. She is passionate about climate-smart agriculture and climate change adaptation, enhancing the resilience of rural communities to withstand environmental shocks, and bridging modern science and traditional knowledge systems to solve complex climate change challenges. Hailey is currently an Environment and Natural Resources Specialist at Chemonics International managing knowledge-sharing initiatives such as the Conservation Solutions Lab. Prior to Chemonics, she worked for a D.C-based think tank - Center for Strategic and International Studies’ Global Food Security Program - where she drafted policy recommendations gleaning lessons learned from USAID projects that scaled climate-smart agriculture and nature-based solutions, and facilitated market access for smallholder farmers. Hailey holds a BSc in Sustainability and Environmental Management from the University of Pennsylvania.
