Biography
Mr. Galluppi is Professor of Practice at the Advanced Technology Innovation Center, The Polytechnic School and former Director of Arizona State University Decision Theater, a multidisciplinary organization focused on decision science application. He has over 30 years of experience in the environmental sciences, modeling, decision sciences and information technologies. As Director he directed a staff of science domain, modelers, social science, and technology experts. Prior to coming to Arizona State University, Mr. Galluppi was a Senior Scientist at the University of North Carolina where he also served as Director of Disaster and Environmental Programs at the Renaissance Computing Institute for five years, and two years as Senior Modeling Advisor to the U.S.EPA in Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. Prior to joining UNC, he was the Director of the North Carolina Supercomputing Center where he directed the research and application of advanced information technologies to problem solving and decision support. He was the Technical Director of the U.S.EPA’s research modeling facility, and team leader for their High Performance Computing and Communications program.
