Biography
Paul Coseo examines how the design of cities impact natural processes and social communities. He approaches research, teaching, and practice with a humble appreciation for how our urban designs impact the sustainability of natural and social environments. Recently, he investigated how physical characteristics of eight Chicago neighborhoods contributed to urban heat islands and heat vulnerability. His other areas of interest include adaptation to climate change, environmental negotiation, community engagement, and social justice. Coseo teaches landscape architecture courses on ecological planning and design.
